GENERAL TRAVEL FAQS.

  • Will I get a travel certificate?

    You will receive your results via email, as well as a certificate of your results to use whilst travelling. In order for your certificate to be correct, please ensure the information used during the registration process matches the details on your passport.

  • Should I use Test-to-Release if I have COVID-19 symptoms?

    It is advised that if you have COVID-19 symptoms then you should not use Test-to-Release. Visit the NHS WEBSITE for the latest information on what to do if you are showing COVID-19 symptoms.

  • How long do I have to self-isolate from a quarantine country?

    When you arrive into England you must follow the International Arrivals to England traffic light scheme. If a 10 day isolation period is applicable (day of arrival being day 0), you must not leave your chosen residence for any reason when you are self-isolating. Under the government’s TEST TO RELEASE GUIDELINES you can take a COVID-19 test on day 5. Please visit gov.uk for the latest guidelines.

  • Can I leave my house once I've taken a Test-to-Release test?

    You can only end your self-isolation once you have confirmed a negative COVID-19 test result. Until you receive your result, you must continue to self-isolate.

  • Do I need to pay for Test-to-Release?

    The government Test-to-Release scheme is private therefore you must pay for a test from a private provider.

  • POST TEST CUSTOMER INFORMATION

  • When and how will I get my results?

    This depends on the service you booked. Your results will be sent to the email you provided when you booked (please check your spam folder, especially if you are using a business email). The timings for the various services are:

    Same Day service: Emailed no later than 11pm the same day

    Next Day service: Emailed no later than 11pm the next day

  • What will my result show and what will I need to do?

    • If your coronavirus test result is NEGATIVE: you did not have the virus when the test was done. If you have booked a fit to fly test, you will need to show this to the relevant authorities. If you have taken a Test to Release, you are free to leave your quarantine. Please keep the result certificate with you at all times and update your Passenger Locator Form.

    • If your coronavirus test result is POSITIVE: You had the virus when the test was done. If you have not had symptoms of coronavirus, you must self-isolate for 10 days counting from the day after your test date. If you have symptoms of coronavirus, you must self-isolate for 10 days from the day your symptoms started, if earlier than when you took your test. People you live with or are travelling with should also self-isolate for 10 days counting from the day after you took the test. You may be contacted for contact tracing and to check that you, and those who you live or are travelling with, are self-isolating. You must not travel, including to leave the UK, during self-isolation.

    • If your coronavirus test result is INCONCLUSIVE: Your coronavirus test result is unclear. This means it’s not possible to say if you had the virus when the test was done. We will offer a free re-test, please re-book by calling our clinic telephone. If you are self-isolating, you must continue self-isolating for the remainder of your self-isolation period as an international arrival travelling to the UK from a non-exempt country, territory or region. You may be contacted to check that you are self-isolating.
